About
The Georges River is a significant river in the Sydney metropolitan area of New South Wales, Australia. It flows for about 96 kilometers (60 miles) from its source in the southern highlands of the Great Dividing Range, eventually emptying into Botany Bay, an estuary of the Tasman Sea. The river passes through several local government areas, including Bankstown, Hurstville, Kogarah, and Liverpool. The river is surrounded by natural reserves, with walking tracks, picnic areas, and opportunities for wildlife observation.

Around 1pm -2pm and will be rafting Friday night opposite Cattle Duffers Flat Picnic Area – This is close to / West of Revesby Beach boat ramp boat ramps . There are quite a few a few boat ramps to choose from.
The 2 most populars are Georges River National Park – Revesby Beach -Burrawang Beach Road -Revesby – plenty of parking – gates are locked after sunset and Moores Reserve Boat Ramp – Morshead Drive Oatley Bay – Parking available

La Perouse Boat Shed

Saturday will see us venture into and around Botany Bay, Anchor at La Perouse, aswim on the sand beach or a boring tea at the Boatshed. We can do a lunch or dinner at the St George Motor Boat Club Please indicate preference and numbers for Saturday lunch / dinner. We can secure a raft nearby and will need a few tenders to get to the club – marina visitor spots are often taken.

Sunday can see us push out to La Perouse, Captain Cooks Landing Place, past the heads, turn left and check out Little Bay – weather and swell permitting of course
