Trip Brief
Sussex Inlet

Friday
Recommended boat ramps best for large vessels – Basin View Boat ramp is our favourite, followed by Lions Park Sussex Inlet (Can be fast flowing, windy & Tidal) then Neilson lane Sussex Inlet (smaller ramp, shallow and chance of prop strike)

Basin View Boat Ramp

Chris Creek
All to meet at Chris Creek to raft up that evening – dinner at Sussex Inlet Bowling Club. We expect to be on the water via Basin View ramp from 4pm, hopefully at Chris creek around 5pm.

Swordfish Brewery

SIBYC Yacht Race
Saturday
We take our time with breakfast, there will be an information session on inflatable life jacket servicing for anyone that is interested. After this we will move out to St George’s Basin to watch the start of the SIBYC yacht race around 12pm, there should be some great photos, especially if the Spinnakers get out followed by lunch at the Swordfish Brewery Sussex Inlet – pulling boats up on the foreshore. After a long lunch at the brewery work our way to weather dependant location in St George’s Basin (probably Swan Bay) for the evening, dinner on our vessels, and hopefully some live music…a stage will be provided!?

Sunday
Today is adventure day, firstly, we will have a donut on board to tow the young at heart around. Then we will make our way to the entrance of Sussex Inlet. Prior to pulling up at the bar … there will be a challenge to walk up the sand hill at Little Manly to take an awesome photo of your vessel with the rest of the flotilla in the turquoise waters of Sussex Inlet. Then, after a morning of frolicking akin to water nymphs we shall have lunch at Pelican Shores Sussex Inlet.
For those of us still tied to our jobs and businesses, it will be time to head home, for others a picturesque spot to moor for the evening is in front of the historic buildings of Kullindi Homestead and Christians Minde – the original Dutch settlers of Sussex
Monday
If you are still around … enjoy the area, bird spotting is amazing we are fortunate to have Ospreys, Black Swans and a myriad of native birds, let alone a plethora of fish for those that are inclined in the Basin.
Tenders will work well on the Friday night unless you are proficient at swimming and have clothing that dries quickly
As there will be a few meal locations and Sussex inlet is a small town, ideas on numbers would be fantastic as we will be making tentative bookings to ensure that we can sit together.
Please reply via email so we can keep an eye on numbers and preferences for our sublime water way. Keep safe and see you soon!
As we have used email addresses from an email received please onset to any faithful bootie that may have been unintentionally missed.
